چکیده
Abstract We examine the cradle-to-grave magnetic evolution of 10 bipolar ephemeral active regions (BEARs) in solar coronal holes, especially aspects leading to each 43 obvious microflare events. The data are from Solar Dynamics Observatory: 211 Å EUV images and line-of-sight photospheric magnetograms. find evidence that (1) event is a explosion results miniature flare arcade astride polarity inversion line (PIL) explosive lobe BEAR’s anemone field; (2) relative emerged flux-rope ? loop, anemone’s can be an inside lobe, outside or inside-and-outside lobe; (3) 5 events confined explosions, 20 mostly 18 blowout which miniatures explosions make mass ejections (CMEs); (4) contrary expectation Moore et al., none explode loop during loop’s emergence; (5) before events, there flux cancellation at PIL lobe. From finding evident underlying all events—together with BEARs evidently being larger regions—we expect essentially same way, sunspot prepares triggers for many major flares CMEs.

Magnetic Flux Cancellation and Coronal Magnetic Energy
I investigate the processes at work in the cancellation of normal magnetic flux in solar magnetograms and study the relationships between cancellation and the budget of free magnetic energy in the coronal magnetic field that can power solar flares and CMEs. After defining cancellation mathematically, I derive equations that quantify the evolution of free magnetic energy in response to arbitrary...
متن کاملThe Magnetic Classification of Solar Active Regions
The purpose of this letter is to address a blind-spot in our knowledge of solar active region statistics. To the best of our knowledge there are no published results showing the variation of the Mount Wilson magnetic classifications as a function of solar cycle based on modern observations. We show statistics for all active regions reported in the daily Solar Region Summary from 1992 January 1 ...

Recent observational evidence for magnetic field direction effects on helioseismic signals in sunspot penumbrae is suggestive of magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) mode conversion occurring at lower levels. This possibility is explored using wave mechanical and ray theory in a model of the Sun’s surface layers permeated by uniform inclined magnetic field. It is found that fastto-slow conversion near the...
متن کاملMagnetic Flux Cancellation in Ellerman Bombs
Ellerman Bombs (EBs) are often found to be co-spatial with bipolar photospheric magnetic fields. We use Hα imaging spectroscopy along with Fe I 6302.5Å spectropolarimetry from the Swedish 1 m Solar Telescope (SST), combined with data from the Solar Dynamic Observatory, to study EBs and the evolution of the local magnetic fields at EB locations. EBs are found via an EB detection and tracking alg...
متن کاملHelical Magnetic Fields in Solar Active Regions: Theory vs. Observations
The mean value of the normalized current helicity αp = B · (∇×B)/B 2 in solar active regions is on the order of 10 m, negative in the northern hemisphere, positive in the southern hemisphere. Observations indicate that this helicity has a subsurface origin. Possible mechanisms leading to a twist of this amplitude in magnetic flux tubes include the solar dynamo, convective buffeting of rising fl...
